The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt
The Witcher 3 is one of my favourite games of the last few years. I bought The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Game of the Year Edition – which comes with the following expansions:
Hearts of Stone – The first expansion, which sees Geralt hired by the mysterious Merchant of Mirrors (not a nice guy from what I’ve gathered so far playing this expansion). Your task is to deal with a mercenary by the name of Olgierd von Everec (not a pleasant fellow either).
Blood and Wine – You get to explore the Duchy of Toussaint, a beautiful land untouched by the wars raging in other realms. It promises over 30 hours of entertainment. If you are into the Gwent game then you’ll be pleased to hear that the expansion includes a new Gwent deck of cards.
The Witcher 3 is a major improvement over the first two games (especially the first game which, frankly, I thought was boring). There is also plenty of humour in this latest game, which is a welcome addition. The main game is huge – doing all the quests will keep you occupied for weeks. I can highly recommend the Game of the Year Edition, it offers excellent value for money.
